Thailand Extends Visa-Free Stay to 60 Days for Indian Tourists
Great news for Indian travelers — Thailand now allows Indian passport holders to stay up to 60 days without a pre-arranged visa.

In a major boost for Indian tourism, the Thai government has officially extended the visa exemption for Indian passport holders from 30 days to 60 days, effective July 2026.
What Changed?
Previously, Indian travelers needed to apply for a tourist visa at the Thai embassy (processing time: 5-7 days) or could get a 15-day Visa on Arrival. The new policy:
- Duration: 60 days (extendable by 30 days at immigration office)
- Cost: Free (no visa fee)
- Entry type: Single entry via air only (land borders require separate visa)
- Requirements: Valid passport (6 months), return ticket, hotel booking, proof of funds (20,000 THB or equivalent)
